We used our Aerobed once, as a guest bed, and it performed well. It's very easy to inflate and comfortable.

However, when I recently tried to reinflate it (after having stored it away for a year), there was an audible leak in the large "quick release" valve, which is a large valve with a plug held in place by a plastic tab. If I were to design an air mattress, it certainly wouldn't include a large hole with an inadequate seal. The Aerobed website actually addresses this problem, and describes how to remove, wash, and reinstall the valve gasket. I tried the procedure and it slowed the leak, but did not stop it. After one night, the mattress still deflated. I'm glad that I tried the mattress before our guests actually needed it.

I put a light layer of memory foam, a layer of eggshell foam, and a layer of a down comforter and then put the sheets on it and it makes it perfection, you wouldn't know it's a airbed. Our relatives that stay with us love it.
