Best bang for the buck, December 9, 2011 This review is from: 15" Vivon Rapture Memory Foam Mattress I've been mattress shopping for a while. I've had a Tempurpedic mattress for years, but I decided to try some other mattresses because I've always had issues sleeping. A key feature I needed with my mattress was something that was made using all natural materials. I have very sensitive skin so abrasive chemicals irritate my skin.
I never considered my Tempurpedic mattress to be at all a cause for my sleep issues, but after spending a weeks at a hotel of all places, I came to the conclusion that it was indeed my Tempurpedic mattress. To be honest, I was in denial for spending such huge amounts of money on a mattress that really didn't improve my sleep at all.
I wanted a memory foam mattress, and after my experience with Tempurpedic, I looked for a mattress with the benefits of memory foam that didn't restrict movement from sinking in and kept me from overheating at night. Watch your $1500 investment sag, July 24, 2011 This review is from: 15" Vivon Rapture Memory Foam Mattress When I first slept on it, I thought I was in heaven. Sadly, the mattress lost its resilience quickly. In just two months, a trough formed where I sleep and no amount of rotating the mattress helped. The salesperson said it breathes well but I found it way too warm to sleep on during the summer months. I was also told it was made locally in California and that influenced me greatly to buy it. Not so. The distributor was local but this puppy was made in China. Lastly, the mattress emits a plastic smell that concerns me. Stick with the tried and true brands on the market.
